You will be directed to a secure payment site where you may make a donation, ask to join and be billed later or join WIP if you've already made a pledge through your workplace campaign.   

Anyone who makes as annual contribution of $500 or more to WIP is an investor. The investor year for active WIP involvement is July 1 to June 30.

Annual designation as a WIP  investor: Member-investors make an annual pledge to participate for the upcoming year.  Current membersí pledges must be in by December 31 for them to be considered active. New members may join at any time during the year.  Payment is due in full by June 30 unless the pledge payment is made through payroll deduction to United Way of the Midlands.

New investors are considered as WIP member as soon as a pledge is made.

Investor Categories

1. Founding member investors: 16 women who established the organization in 2002.

2. Charter member investors: members who joined the organization prior to 2003.

3. Investors in Good Standing: those who invest at the $500.00 or above level annually


All  investors have the following privileges:

  • Attend meetings and networking events
  • Vote on annual funding focus and on significant changes to the mission of WIP
  • Serve in a leadership role on committees or as chair or co-chair
  • Login privileges to the WIP Online Community 

Women invest in Women in Philanthropy in order to pool resources and make a difference by addressing root causes of community problems. WIP investors may be as active in leadership and networking or as inactive as they choose.

All investors accept the responsibility of selecting the key areas for investment and monitoring the success of those investments in making a difference in the community.
