Women in Philanthropy is pleased to announce that WIP member Anita Garrett has been accepted on the National Women’s Leadership Council for United Way. The council brings together some of the most accredited leading women from around the country to support a network of 50,000 members in 130 U.S. communities.
Garrett has a long record of community involvement and leadership with United Way. She was a charter member of Women in Philanthropy, and she served as an Advocacy & Education Co-Chair, as the Vice-Chair and as the newsletter editor. In addition, Garrett also co-designed the Blueprint for Leadership program where she offers instruction for United Way of the Midlands. She also supported project management and provided training for United Way staff for Partners in Compassion in an effort to build the capacity of nonprofit and faith-based organizations.
Congratulations to Anita Garrett for this honor! WIP is proud to have your support!
