About 35 investors met on Tuesday, June 22, to discuss the group's accomplishments so far this year. New committee members were introduced, the budget was reviewed and goals were announced.
The 7th annual Power of the Purse brought together a record-breaking crowd at the Capital City Club on May 20, 2010 for both a live and silent auction of purses.
On May 11, 2010, the founding members of Women in Philanthropy, along with the charter members, convened for a social at the on the rooftop of the Meridian Building.
On March 25, 2010, WIP members were invited to Nancy Lind's home in Lexington, SC to meet and mingle with fellow philanthropists.
On November 19, guest speaker Dr. Hildy Teegen, USC Moore School of Business and WIP members gathered for a breakfast to honor the 16 founding members of Women in Philanthropy.
On November 5, 2009 members gathered at Dr. Belinda Gergel's home for an intimate reception and networking opportunity.
The Sixth Annual Power of the Purse, Women in Philanthropy's signature event,held on May 20, 2009 raised $9,116.
