What We Do

WIP's activities and projects enhance personal leadership skills and make a real difference in the Midlands.

Community Investments
The Women in Philanthropy in collaboration with United Way evaluates areas of community need related to our focus on women and children. The Human Services/Allocations committee annually proposes an area for investment. The amount of available funds varies from year to year.

Investing in Women and Children in Our Community
WIP, in collaboration with the United Way of the Midlands, the Central Carolina Community Foundation and the SC Alliance for Women is part of a larger national movement of women taking the activist role of philanthropy to seek long-term solutions through leadership, community investment, fundraising, advocacy and mentoring.  It is one of 100 similar organizations enthusiastically working toward a collective goal of raising more than 100 million in the next two years. WIP makes annual grants through the United Way and CCCF RFP processes. Show me more»
