United Way of the Midlands Central Carolina Community FoundationWe do our work through a committee structure. Each committee has a Chair and members who have volunteered for the positions. Work by these committees is approved by the Executive Committee.
1. Grants Committee
The Grants Committee collaborates with the United Way and the Central Carolina Community Foundation to award grants. The Committee evaluates the needs of the community and develops a yearly plan for the allocation of funds.
2. Investor Relations Committee
The Investor Relations Committee works to recruit and sustain membership while encouraging women to increase their levels of giving.
3. Education and Advocacy Committee
The Education and Advocacy Committee collaborates with the Alliance for Women at Columbia College to provide educational information and activities with a focus on personal and leadership development, community needs, and advocacy.
4. Events Committee
The Events Committee plans all Women in Philanthropy events and raises money through events to support the initiatives of WIP.
5. Communications Committee
The Communications Committee promotes Women in Philanthropy through various earned and advertising avenues that include broadcast, print and the web-based media outlets.
